This Privacy Policy explains how GamePlay Wiz ("GPW," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the GamePlay Wiz platform, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), available at https://www.gameplaywiz.com.
GamePlay Wiz is a two-sided marketplace where Players submit gameplays to receive coaching feedback, and Wizzies (experienced players/reviewers) record "react" video reviews of that gameplay. This policy applies to both Players and Wizzies, as well as visitors to our public pages.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are & How to Contact Us
GamePlay Wiz is operated by GAMEPLAY WIZ SERVICOS DE INTERNET LTDA ("GamePlay Wiz," "we," "us"). If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at support@gameplaywiz.com.
2. A Note on Age
The Service is intended only for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. During sign-up, users must confirm they are at least 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it and terminate the account. See Section 12.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you provide directly

3.2 Information from connected accounts and game services
If you connect an external account for data sync, we collect identifiers and profile data from that provider, and store OAuth access/refresh tokens (encrypted):
- Riot Games — your Riot ID / summoner name, region, rank, and match/gameplay data used to enable and enrich reviews.
- Discord, Twitch, Steam — provider user ID and username for linking and, where applicable, data sync.
We use the Riot Games API to fetch summoner and match data. GamePlay Wiz is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Riot Games.
3.3 Payment, credit, and rewards information
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. We store a Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, plan and currency, and purchase-history records (description, amount, currency, timestamps).
- Credits — balances by type (free, subscription, bonus, pack), an append-only transaction ledger, and voucher redemptions.
- Wiz Coins & rewards (Wizzies) — coin ledger, ranking/points events, quest completions, and gift-card redemption records (item, coin cost, delivery status, and the delivery email). Gift cards are fulfilled by our gift-card provider and delivered by email. We do not collect bank account details, government ID, or other sensitive financial information for payouts.
3.4 AI-derived information
To provide and improve review features, our systems generate: transcripts of react-video audio, translations, review summaries and "key topics," and internal quality signals. These are described further in Sections 4 and 5.
3.5 Advertising and analytics data (free-tier users)
For users on the free tier, we serve ads and record first-party ad events (impressions, clicks, a session identifier, and which ad slot was shown). Ads are served via Google AdSense.
3.6 Information we collect automatically
- Device & technical data: IP address, browser/device type, and general location inferred from IP.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and interactions.
- Cookies & similar technologies: an authentication cookie/token (from Clerk), and cookies set by AdSense and other embedded services. See Section 10.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Service — create and manage accounts, match Players with Wizzies, host and deliver gameplay and react videos, run the review and rating flow, and operate Wizzy profiles and the Follow feature.
- Process AI features — transcribe, translate, summarize, and validate reviews; generate coaching insights.
- Improve and develop the Service, including our AI — we may use gameplay recordings, react videos, transcripts, ratings, and related content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve GamePlay Wiz's own AI models and features. Where we use third-party AI providers to help train or improve our models, we do so under contractual terms and, where offered, no-retention configurations. See Section 5.
- Handle payments, subscriptions, credits, and rewards — billing, renewals, refunds/compensation, credit grants and consumption, and gift-card redemptions.
- Operate rankings, points, quests, and gamification.
- Send notifications — in-app, email, and (if you opt in) Discord messages about your gameplay, reviews, ratings, payments, credits, and rewards, plus platform announcements. You can manage email and Discord preferences (see Section 8).
- Serve ads to free-tier users and measure ad performance.
- Maintain trust & safety — AI review validation, the report/moderation queue, enforcing quality standards, and preventing fraud, abuse, collusion, and rating manipulation.
- Analytics, security, and debugging.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you request); legitimate interests (improving the Service and our AI, security, fraud prevention, non-personalized advertising, and analytics — balanced against your rights); consent (e.g., Discord notifications, certain cookies); and legal obligation.
5. Service Providers & Third Parties (Sub-processors)
We share personal information with third-party service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts requiring appropriate safeguards, and only as needed for the purposes in Section 4. We use providers in the following categories (current examples in parentheses — these may change over time):
- Authentication (e.g., Clerk) — sign-in and account security.
- Payment processing (e.g., Stripe) — subscriptions and purchases. Your full card details are collected and stored by the processor, not by us.
- Cloud hosting & content delivery (e.g., Amazon Web Services) — storing and delivering videos, images, and other content.
- AI/ML providers (accessed via LiteLLM; e.g., Google, Anthropic) — transcription, translation, summarization, review validation, and improving our AI models and features (see Section 4).
- Advertising (e.g., Google AdSense) — serving and measuring ads for free-tier users.
- Analytics & error monitoring (e.g., Sentry).
- Communications — email delivery and, if you opt in, Discord notifications.
- Rewards fulfillment (e.g., Reloadly) — issuing gift-card rewards to Wizzies by email.
- Game & connected-account data — the Riot Games API, and any external accounts you choose to link (Discord, Twitch, Steam).
6. User Content & Public Visibility
The Service is built around sharing content:
- Gameplays you submit are viewed by the Wizzy who reviews them and may appear (with the resulting review) on the Wizzy's public profile, the Community Feed, and via shareable links.
- React video reviews recorded by Wizzies, along with the Player's username and rating, may be publicly displayed on Wizzy profiles and discovery surfaces.
- Wizzy profile fields (bio, social links, banner) are public.
Please review what you upload and what you make public. See the Terms of Service for the content license you grant us.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Many of the service providers described in Section 5 operate globally and may store or process data in the United States and other countries, whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms) for these transfers. Contact support@gameplaywiz.com for more information.
8. Your Communication Preferences
- In-app notifications are always on and cannot be disabled.
- Email notifications are on by default; you can turn them off per category in the Notifications → Preferences page.
- Discord notifications are off by default and require connecting Discord.
- Marketing/announcement emails include an unsubscribe mechanism where applicable.
Transactional messages essential to the Service (e.g., payment failures, security notices) may still be sent.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. To exercise them, contact support@gameplaywiz.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You can also directly access and edit much of your data in My Account.
9.1 Everyone
- Access, edit, or update account information (username, email, avatar, region, language) via My Account.
- Manage connected accounts and notification preferences.
- Deactivate your account (see Section 11 for what is retained).
Subject to applicable law (including Brazil's LGPD and, where relevant, the EU/UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. 10. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies/tokens for authentication and security (via Clerk).
- Advertising cookies via Google AdSense (non-personalized) for free-tier users.
- Functional/analytics technologies to operate and improve the Service and monitor errors (Sentry).
You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where provided, our cookie controls. Blocking some cookies may impact functionality.
11. Data Retention & Account Deactivation
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
When you deactivate your account, your access is removed and your profiles are hidden, but your submitted gameplays, reviews, and ratings may be preserved as part of the Service.
Certain records (e.g., transaction and credit/coin ledgers) are retained as long as necessary for accounting, audit, and legal purposes. To request removal of content associated with your account, contact support@gameplaywiz.com and we will handle your request consistent with applicable law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@gameplaywiz.com and we will take appropriate action.
13. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption of media in transit (HTTPS and signed content URLs), encryption of stored OAuth tokens, and reliance on PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (e.g., in-app or by email). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
